I just want to start by saying congratulations to consider going back to school! The fact is, you might want to go back to school to open up new opportunities and hopefully have more of influence on the company you work for. On the other hand, you might want to go back to school just for the sake of learning. Either way, I believe that whenever you decide to continue and advance your education you are serious about making an investment that will never depreciate

As a person with a science background honestly there are several ways you can advance your education . I also decided to go back to school and so far it is a great way for me to learn new things and broaden my horizons. Here are some choices a person with a science background can enhance their education:
1. Pursuing master’s or doctoral degree
By pursuing a master’s degree in your field you would basically expand your knowledge-base specific areas. This means a higher position in your workplace, chances are paying more and different tasks to perform in the same specialty you

Now most universities require prospective students and applicants take the exam, called the Graduate Record Examination (or GRE) before being considered for acceptance. It is important that you do what it takes to be as prepared as possible to take this exam in order to achieve the highest score possible. School graduates must have seen this value as a major deciding factor for acceptance into their programs

2. Law school
This is actually a good way to take given your background is very technical in the sciences. Many people who have an engineering degree from an accredited university has the opportunity to pursue a JD (Juris Doctor) and then practiced patent law or intellectual property laws. This can be a very lucrative job prospects and satisfying but you will have to consider many factors before pursuing law school:
a) The law school is very expensive and usually takes about 3 years to complete an accredited ABA program for receive a JD Also, if you decide to pursue this path, then you should start studying for the Law School Admission Test (or LAST) before being considered. b) It’s very rare that you will find a law school that will offer part-time program, so the majority of law students who most likely have to quit their jobs, losing in three years of salary and pursue full-time education

Being a doctor can be very rewarding and satisfying. Helping people with all kinds of diseases can also be viewed with much prestige and respect. In addition to practicing as a licensed physician, we are also able to enter the industry and worked as director of medical affairs and so on. There are many opportunities, however, medical schools are not for the faint-of-hearts

Some might argue that going to medical school is one of the most difficult educational programs that could never catch up (and I would not doubt it) . To get started, prospective applicants must take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) which is one of the most grueling entrance exam that is offered. I would recommend getting serious about studying for this test and take preparatory courses offered by Kaplan or Princeton Review to get ready for it

Typical medical school last about 4 years and also require a fellowship (for specialization) and residency. In addition one must also pass the board exam (which is approximately 4-day examination) that gives you a license to practice medicine in the United States This is a difficult process but in the end you will be practicing physicians

Dental School Dental School is another professional programs that prepare students for the profession of dentistry (Doctor Dental Surgery, DDS). Like other programs, dental schools require entrance exams as well (called the Dental Admission Test, DAT). Teeth are not as intense as the medical school and if you want to be in the medical field but did not practice as a physician, then the dental school is probably the way to go.

Business School Business School is the best option! By pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) you will praise the technical and scientific knowledge with business sense. Many managers, directors and president of the company have the MBA but also has a bachelor’s degree in scientific fields such as yourself. This degree will help you become more well-rounded for a position as a c-level executives or managers.
The great thing about business school is that with many schools you can also pursue part-time while you still have your job. It is comforting for those who feel uncomfortable quit their jobs, losing out on salary and pursue full time education
To get into business school you will need several things:.
A) you must take the General Management Admission Test (GMAT) and some schools even accept the GRE.
b) Some schools require work experience.
c) you will probably need to write some essay or statement.
